Happy Memorial Day everyone! My hubby asked me to be his girlfriend on Memorial Day two years ago and now the day is full of such great memories! :) A bbq with friends, long walks, awkward first hand holding, and of course becoming a girlfriend to my dream man. I’ve loved the creation of acholi beads since I heard about them a few years ago so I was naturally stoked when I saw that Reef is working on a project with the women who make these beads. Together, they’ve created a few different sandals featuring the beads and I just love the concept. It’s so cool to see what can come from the simple act of people working together. Thanks to Reef there’s a little more sustainability to the work these women and are doing and thanks to the women we can all enjoy fun sandals along with the honor of being a part of their story. I hope you are as inspired by the joy and thankfulness of these women as I was!
I have been so inspired by corals, blues and rustic walls lately. They are the perfect “pops” of color in the midst of a neutrally toned outfit. And as for the rustic walls, I can’t help but think that these beautiful walls have such great stories attached to them. There is so much character and color, who wouldn’t be inspired? They are fascinating!
One thing that I am a huge advocate of is fashion that simply enhances your thoughts, your interests, and the “all around you”.
