Amie Cunningham is the founder and creator of the popular children’s brand, Thief and Bandit. She is originally from Richmond but currently based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and considers herself and artist, woodcarver and designer. Her first experience with fashion/t-shirt design was in high school. She copied album covers of some of her and her friends favorite bands since they never toured in her small town. She went on to study art at McMaster’s University in Hamilton, Ontario. I am so in love with her fresh, unique handprinted clothes for mom and baby. I’ve known about her kids stuff for a while, but didn’t realize until recently she also makes adult apparel, which is super cute and has a great balance of being fashion forward and eclectic. Amie uses a really natural process when creating her apparel, all the fabric she uses is organic along with non-toxic ink for printing.
