Xanna is an Atlanta native and one of the most kind hearted people you will meet. She’s only 20 years old, and is already the owner of an amazing and successful small business. XK Macarons is her baby, and delicious macaron business. Her sweets can be found all over Atlanta in places like coffee shops, local markets and a friends wedding on the weekends. Xanna is full of life and full of business savvy driven and it shows in her products. Hope you all enjoy the interview!

What first got you into baking? How long have you been doing it?

I was actually not a big baker originally. I’ve made the occasional box cake and some of my mom’s cupcake recipes, but French pastries have always fascinated me. I’ve more recently been practicing making pies and tarts. There’s nothing like coming home to making a fresh pie and just diving in with a fork.

Gabi is the owner of the most amazing, one of a kind bridal boutique in Atlanta, The Sentimentalist. She has a such a unique and refined eye when it comes to bridal fashion and her love for all things bridal is contagious. Blake and I have had the chance to hang out with Gabi a few times and it’s always full of lots of laughs and swooning over her newest gorgeous dresses. Gabi refers to her dresses as “her girls” and that’s just what they are. Every one is has such intentionality, thoughtfulness and personality. From classic lace to the most current bridal trend, The Sentimentalist has the most special collection of hand picked by Gabi dresses. I met Beth in South Africa a couple of years ago and our hearts instantly connected. Sometimes when your passions align you just have that connection with people and it’s such a special thing. We’ve never lived in the same city but shared some special moments eating delicious meals together in Cape Town and running around NYC during Fashion Week’s.
