The summer brings lots of travel in our family. In the first few years of our marriage, my husband traveled for the majority of his job, and in the summer I would join him. Now that we have Jet, our summer travel looks a lot different. Before, we could be spontaneous and decide last minute to take a trip or for me to tag along on one of Joe’s work trips, but now we have to be very decisive and plan well in advance to manage all the new logistics Jet brings. We leave in a couple of weeks to visit my parents in VA, and as much as I’m so excited to spend a week at the beach visiting family, I am feeling a little apprehensive about the 10 hour card ride with Jet.
I’ve talked to a few moms and done a bit of research and found a few key items that will help traveling with little ones a little easier. Here are a few must haves and tips for traveling. I’ll be sure to let you know which work the best for me as we head out in a couple of weeks.
1. Travel Bottle & Food Warmer – I am mostly breastfeeding Jet, but for the car ride I am grabbing one of these on the go bottle warmers so I can bottle feed. If you want to skip a stop to breastfeed, giving a bottle in their car seat is a great way to save time on a long car ride. Read more…
