Fall is my favorite season for fashion. It allows just the right amount of layers before totally bundling up for the winter months, and introduces rich colors and luxe fabrics for the many fall festivities. Thanksgiving is a perfect chance to up your ensemble a bit without going too formal. I love the casual elegance that accompanies Thanksgiving dinner with family traditions and comfort foods and recommend your wardrobe reflecting the same. I tend to lean towards a dark wash of skinny jeans, dressed up a bit with a fall blazer and blouse. I definitely focus on fit and fabric, and keep the look casual yet refined. If you’re attending a more formal Thanksgiving dinner, an a-line wool skirt paired with a fitted sweater is just the right amount of warmth and elegance. Here are a few ideas of what to wear as you plan to celebrate!

As the weather starts to change, here are just a few of our favorite current trends in fall outerwear. Plaid is everywhere right now with the return of the grunge trend of the 90′s. I love the idea of a simple black ensemble with a plaid trench added for a pop of interest. Leather and pastel colors are also big and of course the slouchy boyfriend overcoat. Lots of great options to keep warm as you transition your wardrobe into fall!
